We will periodically issue a call for applications for singer-songwriters ready to record original music. The HDMG Board of Directors will set the overall budget and parameters for how many projects we can support, and a committee makes selections from all the applications received. For example, in 2024, our process supported six projects from:
Developing Artists: Two $2,500 grants to record two singles.
Professional Artists: Two $3,000 grants for new projects (full album or singles).
Veteran Artists: Two $3,000 grants for artists performing and writing for over 35 years.
The application process is open to:
Residents of Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas
Artists performing original material or dedicated to Southwest music
Those actively performing locally, regionally, or nationally
